Terms of Service
Last updated 2 August 2026. Applies to the SatisFaxion apps for Android and iPhone, and to satisfaxion.app.
These terms are an agreement between you and Slover Digital ("we", "us") covering your use of SatisFaxion. By using the app you accept them. They are written to be read, not to hide anything.
1. What the service does
SatisFaxion sends outbound faxes to numbers in the United States and Canada, and provides document tools that run on your device. It does not receive faxes. It is not a phone line, a messaging service, or a document storage service.
2. Credits
- One credit sends one fax of up to five pages. Each additional block of five pages, or part of one, costs one further credit.
- Cover pages are free. A cover page counts as a page to the receiving fax machine but is never charged as a credit.
- Credits do not expire.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between installations, and cannot be redeemed for money.
- Credits are purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store, whichever you got the app from, and that store processes the payment. The store's terms and refund policy apply to the transaction itself.
- Credits are tied to your installation of the app. Uninstalling the app, clearing its data, or moving to a new device may separate you from an unused balance. If that happens, email us and we will do what we can, but keep it in mind before buying a large pack.
3. Delivered or it is free
If a fax does not reach the destination, the credits charged for it are refunded to your balance automatically, usually within a couple of minutes. That is the whole guarantee, and it is the only refund the app performs on its own.
It covers transmission failure. It does not cover sending to the wrong number, sending the wrong document, or a recipient who did not like what arrived. A fax that reaches the destination machine has been delivered.
4. What you may not send
Unsolicited fax advertising is illegal in the United States. The Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Junk Fax Prevention Act prohibit sending unsolicited advertisements by fax, with statutory damages of up to $500 per fax, trebled for wilful violations. Canada has comparable rules. Do not use SatisFaxion to send advertising to anyone who has not invited it.
You may not use SatisFaxion to send:
- Unsolicited advertisements, marketing, or bulk commercial faxes of any kind.
- Anything unlawful, fraudulent, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or obscene.
- Material that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
- Content you do not have the right to transmit.
- Anything designed to impersonate another person or organisation.
The bulk send feature exists so you can send the same document to several offices you already deal with, such as a form to three clinics. It is not a broadcast tool, and using it as one is a breach of these terms.
You are responsible for the numbers you dial and for having the right to send what you send. We may suspend or terminate access, without refund, for any use that breaches this section.
5. Protected health information
SatisFaxion is not HIPAA certified, and Slover Digital does not enter into business associate agreements. If you are a covered entity or a business associate under HIPAA, do not use SatisFaxion to transmit protected health information. Individuals sending their own personal documents are making their own decision, and the zero retention design described in the privacy policy applies to them as it does to everyone.
6. Not for emergencies
SatisFaxion cannot be used to contact emergency services and must not be relied on for anything time critical to safety. It is not a substitute for a telephone.
7. Delivery, timing, and availability
Fax transmission depends on the telephone network and on the receiving machine, neither of which we control. Most faxes land within a few minutes. Some take longer, and some fail for reasons no one can see from this end, such as a busy line, a machine that is out of paper, or a number that is not a fax at all. We do not guarantee delivery times, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service.
Scheduled faxes are held for up to seven days and sent at the time you chose, subject to the same conditions.
8. Your documents
You keep every right you have in the documents you send. We claim no ownership and no licence beyond the narrow and temporary one needed to transmit the fax you asked for. The document is deleted from our server the moment the fax reaches a final status. Details are in the privacy policy.
9. The document tools
The PDF tools are provided free and run on your device. They modify your files. Some of those changes are permanent by design, redaction most of all: on save, the affected pages are flattened and the content underneath is destroyed so it cannot be recovered. Password protection is equally final, since a lost password cannot be reset by us or by anyone. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.
10. No warranty
SatisFaxion is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slover Digital is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of SatisFaxion. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty United States dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case the limitations above apply only as far as that jurisdiction permits.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold Slover Digital harmless from claims, damages, and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from what you send through the service or from your breach of these terms. This matters most for section 4: if you send junk faxes and are sued for it, that is yours.
13. Suspension and termination
You may stop using SatisFaxion at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, for suspected fraud or abuse of the credit system, or where required by law. Credits associated with abuse are forfeited.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change and material changes will be noted in the app. Continuing to use SatisFaxion after a change means you accept it.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you agree to that jurisdiction.
